Green Tara Feb DT Work

"Our Love"

I found this photo of my brother and his wife in my stash and I haven't seen my brother for 8yrs as he is in the Army and travels a lot but hes moving back home for 2yrs I'm so excited to be able to see him again.

A beautiful cluster or Green Tara flowers both fabric and paper

Clock in sepia has been lightly ink then a darker ink used around the edge as well as the hands of the clock and a dab of glitter glue in brown added to the middle of the hands to hide the small hole.

the bird cage has been embossed 3 times to give it a real good look and the little bird inked and then an eye and wing drawn on in black.

More beautiful flowers from Green Tara.

Heart spray has been embossed and a little bird in white left as is with its wings puffed up.

the words have both been coated in glitter.

Hearts have each been embossed the same colour as the heart spray and one heart was cut so the other one could be linked thru it, I then hid the cut under the join.

Key Hooks

I started this projects many months ago, but never seam to be able to get it the way I wanted so into the 'finish it latter box' it went.

While cleaning up my room yesterday I stumbled back onto it, so time to finish

I started off with a plan metal hook rack and picked out some chipboard pieces, as you can see I changed my mind on the centre piece I originally started with, for some reason I just couldn't get it to work and maybe it was the one thing that i needed to change those months ago.

I brought these metal hooks from Target for $15

I used texture paste along the metal tree branch, while it was still wet i used a tooth pic and make some patterns into the paste to represent a normal tree, once dry I dabbed my finger in  Mix'd Media inxs and rubbed them onto the texture paste to highlight the lumps and bumps

Large Key and lock have been treated with rusting powder

Name plate was painted and the swirls also treated in rusting powder, letters have been embossed with mix'd media embossing powder.

Gates also treated in rusting powder. Each of the metal birds have been covered in paper then Green Tara mulberry paper and mod podge used to create the wings, then a light coat of gesso was added.

Grass border was cut in half and each piece was painted in 5 different colours of green then a little mix'd media inx added to the edges, to tops have been coated in flower soft.

Birds nest also treated with 3 different colours of mix'd media inx

Twiddlybits house made into a bird house, covered in paper and decorated with supplies from my garden lol.

Today is my first official post as part of the new Memory Maze Design Team, the extra exciting part of it all is I've been appointed the Design Team Coordinator.

"The one that didn't get away"

I guess everyone has at once heard the saying the one that got away, well not this time. My mum made this photo using my 2 youngest girls.

Lots of memory Maze chipboard of this page.

Once again Ive used a circle out of the circle frames pack, there are so many circles in the pack its great value for money. This time I have used texture paste on the circle and then inked it in distress ink and used it to frame my photo.

I have also used the Fishing boy chipboard, the base has also been texture pasted and inked in the same colour as the circle frame, the little boy has been ink black and then a metallic silver used distress stain used with a paint brush to add slight highlights to him along with his fishing rod that has been done in silver. each of the cats were done in picket fence distress stain then using a paint brush i have added black and brown distress stain to the edges. the little bucket was done in silver and lines drawn in black and a little wire handle added.

I added more wire to the little boys fishing rod to look like a fishing line. Using a climbing vine i cut it into 3 pieces and rearranged 2 of them to look like a tree, it has been inked in white distress stain and the leaves done in green distress in then everything has had black & brown added to the edges.

I used a chipboard chicken wire and texture paste to create raised areas on the background. And stitching around the outside edge of the background paper.

Lots of Prima Flowers to finish it off.

This week I was sent a parcel full of Stackums card making sheets, now I'm not really a card maker but these take the hard work out of creating beautiful card.

Simple cut each lot of pictures out and layer them with foam tape

Vintage car Stackums

This card was used for my husbands birthday yesterday.

I started by layering each of the pieces then I white washed the entire stackum to give it more of a vintage feel. and inked the edge.

A Memory Maze cog was cut in half and inked then also white washed

The other half of the cog & some Green Tara Ribbon

Pink Rose Stackum

I also white washed this stackum, I'm not a gold person so I wanted to tone down the gold elements

My wonderful 2yr old thought it would be a good idea to grab a piece of chipboard of my desk and start eating it, so to salvage this piece I cut it up into 3 smaller pieces, each piece has been white washed and lightly inked in pink
