Memory Maze & First Days

Hello, today marks this very first day of our new Design Team. 

I hope they will be able to inspire and amaze you with their skills and designs

"First Day of Pre-school"

Keeping with our Feb school theme here is my youngest daughter on her first day of pre-school. We were lucky enough that the pre-school recorded the day and printed it out as a flyer, so I cut out the photos and description and created a page.

Using some single film strips I coloured each one in a metallic paint.

I didn't want a lot of detail in my tree so I turned a swirly tree upside down

First day at prep title however I have cut the word prep off as it didn't suit.

Using a MM stencil to create splotches around the page to represent the mess little kids make with paint

Lots of MM flowers have been used through out the layout.

Today I thought I would try something a little different & decorate a couple of gift bags.

With a couple of dies and the beautiful Christmas papers from Meg's Garden they turned out way better than I expected they would. I also popped another Christmas card in as well.

Starting with the card today.

Here I have used 2 different papers 

Cutting the tree out of Oh Christmas Tree paper strip and popping some foam dots on the back to make it sit above the rest of the card.

From Tis Christmas Time new collection I used Christmas plaid strip to cover my card.

Cutting a few flowers out of the left over strip paper to decorate one of the corners.

Memory Maze chipboard words covered in gesso the glass glitter in gold.

I used a few of the off cuts from the papers to cover a chipboard banner and added some green tara trim.

White Gift bag.

Using the Christmas & the Tree A4 collage sheet I cut a santa out and added foam dots to the back to make him pop, I also cut some christmas fern & leaves from A berry Merry Christmas paper and popped them under the edge of santa.

Using a Tanya Leigh Designs transparency circle to help form part of the title. and added a Green Tara ribbon bow and beads to the top corner.

Craft gift bag

A little bit of Every Thing Cards

October has been a very busy month 

and I have fallen way behind on everything in my scrappy world.

So I know I shouldn't combine my Design team work but they just all work so well together, and I really didn't want to miss doing work for anyone of my wonderful teams.

Instructions

Using paper C61 002 cover the front of your card with the part that has the hanging balls run some gold metallic paint around the edge of the card. 

Cut out 2 extra balls from the rest of the paper adding a little gold paint to the edges, add some string & foam adhesive to the back.

Now cut the santa and the word scroll from the same paper and pap foam dots on the backs also.

choose some flowers and embellishments you want to use and layer them onto the bottom half of the card over the top of a piece of cheesecloth and your done

Instructions

Cover your card in C61 006 using the area that looks like a wall

cut the angels etc out of the corner of the same paper and add foam dots to the back

Collect together some embellishments you want to use and once again layer them onto the bottom half of the card over some cheesecloth.

Instructions

Using paper C61 004 cover the front of your card then run some gold metallic paint around the edge of the card. 

Now cut the children and tree from C61 003 paper and pap foam dots on the backs also.

Using the chipboard word DC61 003 paint it in gesso, then add a light layer of gold metallic paint to the words followed by a darker layer on the bottom half, then a few touches of silver paint, paint the leaves green and add a rose for berries.

choose some flowers and embellishments you want to use and layer them onto the bottom half of the card over the top of a piece of spiderweb from Halloween and your done.

Memory Maze & Tanya Leigh Designs DT

Last month I was away and missed my DT post for Memory Maze so this month I though I would try and fit as much chipboard as I could into one project.

"Daydream"

This photo was taken by one of my girls out the front of Sally's house (owner of Memory Maze) this canvas is 8x8.

Memory Maze Memory Maze Tree with swirls S0021 has been painted with Gelatos. 

Tanya Leigh Designs wood cut bird cage left in original state. 

Memory Maze Picket Fence, only a third of it was used, using gelatos again but this time in white and grey. Teamed up with some Memory Maze flowers and vines.

Memory Maze Daydream also coloured with gelatos and a couple of vines.
