"Back When"

I made this page around the title Way Back When and as I don't have any old family photos I altered this photo I found on the internet.

The title and words say

Back when a tire swing was a kid's best friend, way before Gameboys, Ipads & xbox,
those are the days I remember.

Beautiful Green Tara flowers and a little brown & white one from Prima.

Bench in white was left as is, and a little butterfly inked and embossed.

Center piece is a huge Green Tara flower with little cherry blossoms that have had the centers inked, A Flourish with a Bling has been cut into 4 pieces and used throughout that page, Blue flower spray from Prima.

Clocks has been inked to look like its rusty and the hands topped with a pearl sticker.

Twigs have been inked and joined with Prima flowers and a small piece of FWAB.

the leaves have been coated in green glitter, each vine piece has been inked in green then glitter glue in green added to each of the leaves.

Birds in white, these have been left as is but I have fluffed up the wings a little by just separating the chipboard layers, there are 8 little birds on this canvas in varying sizes to represent each of my 8 children.

mother word has been inked with Mix'd Media inx Jasmine then embossed with matching embossing powder and while still wet I sprinkled Fairy dust over it in mixed berries.

Epoxy sticker words to represent what I am and mean to others, each one has been stuck on white cardstock and then cut out a little bigger than the sticker then paint added to each edge.

I used a clock mask in the background with coloured texture paste to represent how people always tell me I'm so organised when it comes to my family, thank god no one see's the behind the scenes action.

"Totally Stumped"

I named this page Totally stumped because i looked at it for 3 days trying to come up with a cool caption/quote or title but it had me totally stumped, which worked out well in the end.

I started with a fairly plan background paper from and old range from Fancy Pants, using a mask and texture paste to create some texture in 3 areas. Once the texture paste was dry I placed the mask back over the over and randomly added 3 tones of ink here and there to colour the textured area, by placing the mask back over the area only the texture paste is coloured and not the background paper.

A close up of the texture and ink.

And close up photos of the finished textured areas. Once finished I added some drops of glue and scattered glass beads around once dry tipping off the ones that weren't stuck I then used some watered down white paint and dabbed a little paint onto the beads to help them blend into the background.

Memory Maze log was first painted in a white paint that had been watered down, i didn't paint the entire thing I then sanded it lightly to ruff up the surface but not take the paint off, adding brown ink to the edges for a little extra colour, I then re-did the engraved lines in black.

A small cluster of flowers, metal flowers are Petaloo and all other flowers are Green Tara

Another cluster of flowers and a metal charm tree that has been painted white then sanded and Tim Holtz stickles added to the tree like leaves.

Memory Maze large gate, lock and key have all been painted in white and had rusting powder added but only here and there. The lock and key tied onto the gate with Green Tara wire cord.

"New Ride"

I am totally hopeless at doing simple these days, I just have to stick something on every empty space I can see, but this month to challenge myself i wanted to try, it didn't quite go to plan and it almost had me in a frenzy but after adding a few more bits lol I was happy.

I loved this bright background paper but it was too busy for the photos so I watered down some white paint and painted the entire thing, once dry i used some sand paper to ruff up the paper here and there it didn't remove the paint but it gave it more texture, after that I sprayed some water downed paint here and there and using a texture stamp I stamped in 2 colours around the edge.

I am an collector of stamps but I always seam to forget about them so I have tried to use as many stamps as I could, these clouds have been stamped with a texture stamp, the small banner pieces also stamped, a little stamped bingo card and the background make 5 different stamps.

I knew I wanted to create a banner across the page so started with some Green Tara rats tail cord and cut done the photos and set about making random sized banner tags.

Adding a couple of small clusters of Green Tara flowers and cutting up a leaf ribbon in red to create small leaves in the clusters.

Another cluster of Green Tara flowers this time using a 7cm petal flower folded up into 4 and lightly dusted with white ink.

Green Tara string in red was used to create a flower, and a spring flower topped with a cherry blossom crated the perfect flower, another petal but in 4cm was folded again into 4 and added to the bikes basket topped with a rose.
